Residential customers will be required to pay a $100.00 connect fee plus a $250.00 deposit for the account.
Commercial customers will be required to pay a $100.00 connect fee plus a $300.00 deposit for the account
Billing Periods
Residential and Commercial water accounts are billed monthly and are due on the 15th of the month. A penalty of 10% of the outstanding balance is added to accounts for bills paid after the 15th of the month.
If the complete balance on a regular water bill is unpaid, a Late Notice is mailed by the 16th of the month, giving a date for cut-off due to non-payment. Any outstanding accounts as of the 25th of the month will be subject to disconnection.
Disconnect/Reconnection of Water Service
If the water service to a property is disconnected, customers must pay a $100.00 disconnect/reconnect fee. Once disconnected, all past due balances must be paid in full and customers must bring their Deposit to current requirements.
Recourse for a High Water Bill
If a water bill is disputed, a resident may request any or all of the following:
- Request a re-read and, if necessary, the bill will be adjusted
- Request that their meter be tested. If the test determines that the water meter is over-registering, the Water Department will replace the meter and adjust the water bill – at no cost to the customer. However, if the test results show that the meter is under registering or registering accurately within the American Water Works Associate standards, then the customer will be charged the cost of checking the meter.
